Huixuan Zhao was born in Beijing China. She began studying Art and Visual Art in 1995 to gain a greater appreciation of works of art. It was a wise choice for her career. Her studies enabled her to develop her creativity in the composition of a painting as well as the use of colour.

In 2002 she traveled around west and south of China. She found Chinese traditional art attractive because of its mystery and charm. From that time, she began to study Chinese painting and mixed Chinese traditional style with modern composition.

She currently resides in Adelaide South Australia where she works from her studio at home. She has been painting full-time since the beginning of 2005.
